Highlights
HellFire 5, Day 1: Cool in the morning, but warmed up nicely. The winds became stronger as the day progressed. We were at the alternate site as the Salt Flats were under water. My first flight was the Sandhawk on a K550-W. It weathercocked some but had a good flight. The Missile Works RRC2 reported 5029 feet. There were numerous paint chips from being dragged over the ground. Next was the Javelin on a K700-W. This is the largest motor the Javelin has every flown on. It had an excellent flight, with the IA-X96 reporting 11,142 feet, 800 mph, and 23.4 Gs. I liked the flight so much I loaded up the Javelin and flew it again that afternoon on another K700-W. This was another great flight, with the IA-X96 reporting 10,897 feet, 822 mph, and 23.5 Gs. The last flight of the day was the Arreaux on a G33-7J for a nice flight. I lost it, but someone else found it later that day.
