Highlights
Beautiful morning, initially no wind but it picked up some later. Joined by Paul Mazel with his Arcas on his first Aerotech reloadable. First launch was the Deltie as there was hardly any wind. It had a nice flight and an excellent glide. Lost the balsa nose cone on the booster pod. Next was the Arcas on a H180-10W. The flight was nice but the delay was short (about 6 seconds instead of 10). Then I launched the Javelin on a J135-W. I have had this motor for awhile, but with the minimal wind the conditions were right. It was slow off the pad and weathercocked some, but then stabilized and had a nice flight. The IA-X96 reported 4696 feet, 4.8 G's, and 333 max MPH. Next was the Shadow (#2) on a G33-5J for a nominal flight. Then came the Arreaux on a G33-5J for another nice flight. Then I prepped the Hi-Tech and flew it on a H123-W. It had a nice flight, and the AltAcc reported 3433 feet. I had an I284-W that I assembled 2 months ago and I really wanted to use it up, so I prepped the Javelin for another flight. It had an excellent flight, and the main chute deployed at 500 feet almost directly overhead. The IA-X96 reported 2167 feet, 13.2 G's and 255 max MPH.
