Highlights
Seventh BSRA launch of the year. Very windy most of the day which made for very long walks. My first test flight was the Wizard on a A8-3. I helped my son fly a few Estes rockets for awhile. Then I flew my Big Daddy on a F25-6W. It took a sharp turn after leaving the rail and flew north like a cruise missile. Fortunately it deployed before hitting the ground. Next was the Big Daddy again on a G64-7W for a much nicer flight. i flew the Javelin on my first Redline motor, a J315-R. It was a nice flight to 3116 feet, and dual deployment worked as planned. We had a visit from a Billings Gazette reporter and a Channel 8 news person. Then I flew the Mustang on a G40-7W for a nice flight and a long walk. Next was the Hi-Tech on a H123 for a nice flight and even longer walk (over a mile away). My last flight was the Big Daddy on a G38-FJ (Fast Black Jack) for another nice flight (and retrieved by Pat DeWitt).
