Highlights
Joined by several other rocketeers, and a nice spectator crowd. My first launch was the Alpha on a C6-7, followed by the rear-facing Astrocam on a C6-3. Next was the Big Bertha on a C6-5. Then I flew the Mustang on a G33-7J. Next was the Sandhawk on a J415-W for a nice flight, and the RRC2 reported 3430 feet. This was followed by the Maniac on a D12-5. I then flew the Nike Smoke on a K550-W as the earlier breezes had stopped. It had a very nice flight to 4551 feet. Next I tried my second high power two-stage rocket attempt with the Thunder -N- Lightning. The I357-T lit, but the H123-W in the sustainer failed to ignite (the timer never armed). The altimeter blew the chutes for a safe recovery. The RRC2 reported apogee at 1069 feet. My last flight of the day was another high power two-stage rocket attempt with the Thunder -N- Lightning. The I357-T agian lit, but the H123-W in the sustainer failed to ignite. The timer section broke off and was not recovered. The altimeter blew the chutes for a safe recovery. The RRC2 reported apogee at 1069 feet. Oh well, 0 for 3 on the staging attempts.
